A note from John and Rita Sommers-Flanagan:

Dear Reader,

Dr. Bossypants and Grandpa Pancake have teamed up to offer coping strategies for these challenging times. We’re happy that our recent interest in positive psychology, happiness and well-lived lives might be useful, but sad that the pandemic makes trying to cope so darn necessary.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks, we’ll offer tried and true exercises that make some people happier some of the time. We’ve also included brave, bold and terribly amateur videos to accompany our highly sophisticated written commentary. This provides you with an opportunity to be nice to us. Remember, being nice can make even grumpy people happier.
